IHNNE Meeting

The final Industrial Heritage Network (NE group) for 2025 was held at Hopetown, Darlington.   IHN is based at Ironbridge Industrial Museum, which is due to be taken over by the National Trust in March 2026.

Malleable No.5 Hand Over

Before Marley Hill & Beamish, Malleable No.5 was used at Stockton by South Durham Steel & Iron Co.   It has an unknown builder, but its origins may be with the Stockton Malleable Iron Works.
Malleable No.5 was the first loco to be steamed by Tanfield Railway at Marley Hill.
