We are replacing the section of 90 lb/yard bullhead on wooden sleepers with 95 lb/yard bullhead on concrete sleepers between Marley Hill junction and Andrews House.
The engineer's train heads out on a bright cold day

First panel lifted out
Slinging the second panel .....
..... before lifting and stacking it to one side
The final panel for today is removed
Vic prepares the bed
The replacement panels are slung .....
..... lifted .....
..... and temporarily stacked near to the job
The track bed has been prepared,
and the first panel has been placed
Replacement panels have been lifted into place.
Phil, Steve and Malcolm align rails .....
..... in order to temporarily fit fishplates .....
..... so the crane can run down and place the next panel
The light is going as we place the last panel
To be continued tomorrow, weather permitting .....

Meanwhile, in the workshop:
