The Coal & Iron special event is tomorrow. Sir Cecil A Cochrane will haul mixed trains from Andrews House for Sunniside, Causey & return at the new times of 10.30 am, 12 noon, 1.30 & 3 pm. There will be no passenger trains beyond Causey due to track relaying on East Tanfield bank.

Tomorrow's Trains
Tomorrow is the last of the Freight in February days. HL No.2 will haul mixed trains from Andrews House for Sunniside, Causey & return at the new times of 10.30 am, 12 noon, 1.30 & 3 pm. There will be no passenger trains beyond Causey due to track relaying on East Tanfield bank.
There are due to be demonstrations at the forge and guided tours of Marley Hill shed.

Launched 1991
Wellington (BH 266 of 1873) is the oldest locomotive at Tanfield. Wellington's saddle tank was fabricated at Swan Hunter's shipyard. When Wellington was completed and ready to run, Richard Charlton arranged for it to go to Swan's for joint publicity coinciding with the launch of RFA Fort George. Richard gave me 3 photos yesterday, which were taken around that time and appear below:
