Cochrane & No.2 will take the Express from East Tanfield to the North Pole (AH) & return this Saturday & Sunday. All tickets to see Santa have been sold - sorry.

There's a talk by David Fraser about the NER's Dunston Staiths, from which most of the coal from the Tanfield Branch was shipped, at the Mining Institute at 7pm this Friday 28 November.

Tomorrow's Trains
HL No.2 will haul trains from Andrews House at 10.30 am, noon, 1.30 pm & 3 pm for Sunniside, Causey, East Tanfield & return. The run round loop is not yet in place at East Tanfield (volunteers welcome) , so AW No.2 will be used to release the train loco.

Tomorrow's Trains to Tanfield
Twizell will haul trains from Andrews House at 10.30 am, noon, 1.30 pm & 3 pm for Sunniside, Causey, East Tanfield & return. The line from Causey to East Tanfield, closed since February 2013, will reopen to passenger trains tomorrow. The run round loop is not yet in place at East Tanfield (volunteers welcome) , so AW No.2 will be used to release the train loco.
