The Rattler
Thanks are due to Tommy, who gave me a VHS cassette on which were a few seconds of film which I had not imagined existed - an RSH 18" heading the Marsden Rattler, or more formally a passenger train on the South Shields, Marsden & Whitburn Colliery Railway. There are other 1950s industrial railway & South Shields gems on the DVD, available from Wolverton Rail.
