Ghost Trains This Weekend

The Tanfield Ghost Train runs this Saturday & Sunday; the usual train service is not available.   The Ghost Trains on Saturday are at 10.30 am, noon, 1.30, 3, 4.30 & 6 pm, & on Sunday are at 10.30 am, noon, 1.30, 3 & 4.30 pm.   

Tickets are pre bookable, and at the time of posting are available only for the 10.30, noon & 1.30 trains each day.   For more information & to book, please see the main TR web.

Tomorrow, Sunday, on the last day this year of this timetable, ex Redheugh gasworks Sir Cecil A Cochrane will haul passenger trains from Andrews House at 10.30 am, & thereafter from East Tanfield at 11.25 am, 12.45 pm, 2.15 pm & 3.35 pm for Sunniside & return.   The last passenger train leaves East Tanfield at 4.55 pm for Andrews House only.

This weekend saw a few volunteers from TR visit the Ffestiniog & Welsh Highland Railway for their annual Victorian Weekend.
