TR Association Trip to Victoria Tunnel
The Victoria Tunnel from Spital Tongues under the heart of Newcastle to the Tyne is an important and interesting item of industrial history - built to move coal, and used as an air raid shelter. See http://www.victoriatunnel.info/ for more information.
The next Tanfield Railway Association trip is a conducted tour of the tunnel. There are a small number of spaces available on Thursday 1 November at 6.30pm and Saturday 3 November at 10am for TR Association members. The cost is five pounds per person, and the tour lasts about 2 hours. Please ring 0191 4606493 or email susanwalton28@talktalk.net to book places.
