Bedlington Lad in the News
Daniel Gooch now has a blue plaque at Windsor & Eton station in recognition of his transatlantic communication work.
Four Gooch brothers from Bedlington were big in railway engineering in Victorian times - see Daniel Gooch, John Gooch & Thomas Gooch on Wikipedia. Grace's Guide details William Gooch & the fifth brother George Gooch, who was Lintz colliery manager & civil engineer, living at Tanfield.
Perhaps Owen would add a comment to let us know why the Gooch family went to Bedlington ......
