Tanfield Magazine

The latest magazine produced by the Tanfield Railway Association is now being distributed to subscribing members.
The front cover features gala visitors; inside is
comment & story on the June 2015 gala
Single copies of the magazine may be bought in Andrews House shop on operating days, eg by working members of the TRA, who do not pay a subscription.

Inside, Eric Maxwell has written a short history of 12" Hawthorn locos.
We have three of these useful, good looking machines.

The magazine also features an interesting & descriptive article by TE Rounthwaite on the history & operation of the Tanfield Branch, which first appeared in the RCTS Railway Observer during April, May & June 1958.   This is very timely, because we intend to hold an exhibition about the Tanfield Branch during June to September this year.
