Thank goodness for 'Tommy's Cuttings!' The man had(has) foresight.
I didn't realise that there had been a 13-year gap between the demolition of Gibraltar Bridge and its reconstruction. The tale I heard was that it was illegally demolished - which caused a whole load of outrage - and (just about) immediately rebuilt. Great job though, those people
