2019 Gala

The 2019 Legends of Industry Gala takes place on 14, 15 &16 June.   A visiting loco will be former Port Talbot No.26 aka GWR 813 aka Backworth No.12, built by Hudswell Clarke in 1900/1 as works no.555.   This loco previously featured at the TR 2007 gala.

No.60 loaded at Alnwick ready to travel to the TR 2018 gala
A1 : Britain's Longest Road Series 4 Episode 3 was on BBC1 at 11 am today - featuring No.60 being moved.   There's a total of about 10 mins coverage at 13, 27 & 38 minutes in.   The final scenes are at the gala.

Episode 3 is repeated tomorrow morning on BBC2 at 6.30 am, otherwise it's on BBC iPlayer.

No.2, built in Newcastle by Hawthorn Leslie in 1911 for Keighley Gasworks & having returned yesterday from a jaunt to the Foxfield Railway, will haul passenger trains from Andrews House for Sunniside at 10.30 am, & thereafter from East Tanfield at 11.25 am, 12.55 pm, 2.15 pm & 3.35 pm for Causey Arch, Andrews House, Sunniside & return.   The last passenger train leaves East Tanfield at 4.55 pm for Andrews House only.
No.2 passes No.1 signal & heads into Andrews House in May 2018

Twizell, built in Newcastle by Robert Stephenson & Co in 1891 for Joicey's Beamish Railway, will haul passenger trains from Andrews House for Sunniside at 10.30 am, & thereafter from East Tanfield at 11.25 am, 12.55 pm, 2.15 pm & 3.35 pm for Causey Arch, Andrews House, Sunniside & return.   The last passenger train leaves East Tanfield at 4.55 pm for Andrews House only.
In May 2018, Twizell is taking AW No.2 with the train .....
