Trains This Weekend

This is Mining Heritage weekend, with a passenger train & a freight train running during each of Saturday & Sunday.   No.49 will start on the passenger & Twizell on the freight, with the locos swapping trains at about 2.30 pm.

No.49 being reassembled in May 2018 following boiler repairs

Passenger trains leave Andrews House for Sunniside at 10.30 am, & thereafter from East Tanfield at 11.24 am, 12.54 pm, 2.10 pm & 3.37 pm for Causey Arch, Andrews House, Sunniside & return.   The last passenger train leaves East Tanfield at 4.59 pm for Andrews House only.

Freight trains leave Andrews House for Sunniside at 10.30 am, & thereafter from East Tanfield at 12.03 am & 1.33 pm for Causey Arch, Andrews House, Sunniside & return.   The last passenger train leaves East Tanfield at 5.38 pm for Andrews House only.
