When were these windows blocked up and why?

Thanks for the question & interest.
We don't know when the window between the shed & front room was blocked up or why. The rest were blocked up 50 years ago by us as a security measure. Three were opened up about 15 years ago to reintroduce some light. We've opened up the window to the front room as part of that room's new presentational function. The other windows will be reinstated as soon as we can. Those to the wheel lathe doorway & redundant public toilets will be last. After we've reinstalled the lantern roof we should have a very light & airy shed as it was around 1930.
