Have you been having issues with the gauge, i.e. the distance between the platform and the carriages? I believe that Sunniside has been out of use for a good few months now

Hi, no nothing wrong with the gauge. We started improving track at Sunniside around 2019/20, but this was suspended during Covid due to other priorities; more trackwork has taken place recently. People & trains during Covid were easier to handle between the stations with facilities, ie East Tanfield & Andrews House (Causey has also been closed). We're just catching up with a backlog of maintenance on Sunniside platform & access - there's more to do, but its nearing being ready for use.
