Trackwork Along the Line

Pending reopening on 18 March, there are a number of jobs to complete; several of these were tackled today :

Using pea gravel to pack the 5" deep timbers which
replaced the 6" timbers at East Tanfield bay point .....

..... and similarly at Causey bay point

 Further heavy ballast spreading was due to take place this afternoon around Boyd's.

Plating the joints between 98 1b/yd FB
and 95 lb/yd BH near Boyd's .....

..... and similarly between 109 lb/yd FB and 98 lb/yd FB

Back at the shed, Chris continues Twizell's ashpan
