An Engineering Puzzle

A TR blog post on 2 January 2014 featured a footbridge builder's plate at Barnard Castle, which led to some history about its builders, Head Wrightson.

Yesterday, walking across another footbridge in Barnard Castle, I noticed this builder's plate:
Wilson Bros & Co Engineers Darlington 1882
However, I cannot find any detail or history of the builders.   If you have any leads, please add a comment to this post.
The bridge was repainted & redecked a few years ago
The bridge spans the Tees to Thorngate mill area, Barnard Castle
The bridge was listed in 1994 by English Heritage (now Historic England).
