Maintenance

Ian, Dave, Dave & Rob starting to remove a crossing gate at Causey
Rob & Dave unfastening the top hinge
Dave slackening nuts
Lifting the gate, intending to take it back to Marley Hill ......
..... but removing a hinge for use on the replacement gate .....
...... because this one could not be transported intact
These wooden gates at Causey Crossing have been in place for about 20 years.   The weather has caused deterioration, but physical damage over the last few years has compounded this.   Replacement gates will be in box section steel.

Passing Andrews House, we found Malcolm on his mop again
At Marley Hill, Angela is working on records
Dave cleaning a hinge for reuse
Rob cleaning where the hinge will be welded
Dave greasing the new dumper
