What a fine sight those N10's look, even at 50-60 years of age. Does anyone know what the NER used on the line before the N10's? I've seen reference to an N8 stabled at Bowes Bridge in 1923
I've heard that the NER Class 'L' (LNER Class 'J73') 0-6-0T engines worked the branch prior to and alongside the 'U' (N10's)
