East Tanfield Offloading Siding

Ian digging out the end of the excavation for ET offloading siding .....
..... & dropping ballast into the hole
George drilling a rail end
Bill & Ian placing temporary rails ......
..... as a runway for the bogie
Ian, Bill, George & Steve moving the rails to gauge ......
...... up to the end of the siding
First panel being loaded onto the bogie ......
..... to be trundled up to the temporary rails ......
..... then pushed with the digger attached as a brake
The bogie has run off the end of the temporary rails

A couple of the temporary rails are being pulled out
Next panel being slung .....
..... & loaded onto the bogie .....
..... then pushed along to its place
Ian lifting one end to enable extraction of the bogie
Again, the temporary runway rails are removed

..... then everyone joins in to place it on the bogie
