I posted an article about Bowes Bridge on 6 September in which I mentioned that the cylinder from the engine was in the NRM at York.

Murray & Co was the major employer in Chester-le-Street in the mid nineteenth century, and supplied engines throughout the north east coalfield. Chester-le-Street Heritage Group publish a summary history of Murray Engineering.
