The photos below are courtesy of Chris Shearer. They were taken around the time of Queen Elizabeth II's Silver Jubilee in June 1977. TR trains had started running between a temporary platform at Marley Hill & a temporary loop at Bowes Bridge.

No.32 was used on both the Bowes Railway and at East Tanfield Colliery. It is under restoration in Derbyshire & recently featured on TR Facebook.

The carriage from which pay was distributed around Dorman Long works |
Before TR trains ran from Marley Hill to Bowes Bridge, this carriage was used to give rides in Marley Hill yard. Note the verandah ends with decorative ironwork & single door each end into the saloon, similar to TR carriages 1 & 2.
